INITIAL IDEAS
After finish the movie, I felt environmentally inspired. For my Cover page, I wanted to illustrate something that was personal to me. As I live in both Africa (Tanzania) and Europe (UK). I am accustomed to different extreme weather and climate. Thus for my cover page, I want to depict the difference in climate and animals between the worlds coldest and warmest environments
In the above sketch, I'm illustrating an arctic environment, with one of the animals that can be found in that region. for the sketch, I have used pencil colors and finalized it with fineliner pen.
After sketching the arctic, which depicts the world's coldest environment. I sketched the subtropical which is considered to be some of the warmest and dryest at times, with an average temperature of 21 to 28 degrees Thus, in my second part of my sketch I wanted to show this contrast between the world warmest and coldest weather.
I used 5H pencil to first sketch out few details that I would like to include in my drawing, I sketched species of that can be found in these subtropical places like the SERENGETI, I light sketched two elephants, a giraffe, and an antelope. I will also include few trees to show the parallel between warm and cold, this also shows the contrast between flourishing vegetation and lack of vegetation in the arctic environment.
