ENBE ASSIGNMENT 01

We are required to watch the movie documentary ‘EARTH’ 2007  and to present factual information, personal experiences, observation, and thoughts on an A4 size document.

The content requires my observation, extended research and reflection on the things that I have been documenting and experiencing, and what interests me the most and maybe some life-changing event from the documentary I have watched.

Objectives.

  • I need to sketch out and describe in detail the elements that I personally investigated through the ‘EARTH’ movie documentary.

  • Documenting the elements of nature.

  • Exploration of types of flora elements, fauna elements. Types of nature setting/topography and types of natural phenomena

  • write about favourite scene/section in the movie, explore the environmental issue that I have discovered from the movie and my  realization and perspective or reflection about nature after watching the movie

Natural Dialogue Assignment 02

  1. we were assigned type of natural setting/landscape (abiotic element) from the different categories of the earth system learned in the lecture class. 

  2. ​we were to discuss in detail about the selected natural setting above in terms of​ types, function characteristics, (ex biological community, the structure of components), the importance, benefit or positive and negative aspect of it.

  3. ​Discuss  ​how human and living things (biotic) adapt/depend/survive upon the natural setting​. To provide example of a situation between (abiotic and biotic elements)

  4. Discuss the ​positive/negative impact of human activities or built environment towards the natural setting and provide possible or ideas to overcome issues or enhance the impact respectively.

“Investigation of Urban space”

This assignment is divided into 2 parts, PART A and PART B. In a group, you are to conduct an investigation of a component in city and to collect data through virtual platform, google earth and to extend your research from various reliable sources of the internet. All information are compile in 2 A2 SIZE Posters.

CREATE A GIFT FOR A SOMEONE YOU CAN’T MEET IN-PERSON

The situation is problematic. Circumstances are such that our movements are restricted due to environmental hazards. This situation has forced many to stay indoors and to communicate through long distances, using available and appropriate online methods. However, your friend’s birthday is coming soon, and you need to create a gift for him or her. The gift must be ‘created or designed’ as you already know so that it holds much better value and it should be a surprise!

I am working with a non-governmental organization (NGO) to assist a community located in a rural and remote area. As a designer, you are assigned to the children's and youth's group to design a toy or an object of play.

Body parts and movements are synonymous with toys as they are the enablers for the play or the act of play to take place. You will be assigned A BODY PART as your main focus in designing the toy.

Different body parts and movements respond differently to a toy when performing a play or the act of play. Your task is to design a toy based on the body part assigned to you.

CONSTRUCTED LANDSCAPE

Assignment 01

 

This is an introduction project for students to demonstrate knowledge of the fundamentals of landscape graphic communication and the landscape design process. Students need to acquire visual communication thinking skills through sketching exercise and some coloring techniques. Upon completion of this project, students will have a basic understanding of graphic communication in landscape architecture and the process of visual thinking skills.

As a group, you need to conduct a precedent/ case study of the assigned park. The content of the study will be focusing on the following;

  • -  Introduction (brief understanding of the assigned park)
    The study of the park (what is the park/ type or purpose of the park/ historical background/ common location/ range of area/ the park users/ examples of park images etc.)

  • -  Site Information, Contextual Study & Park Zoning
    (Location map/plan - to use only google earth map, location context of places adjacent to the park, layout zone/design of the park, space arrangement in the park, etc.)

  • -  Physical Park Features
    (Hardscape elements/ structure/ facilities, etc.)

THE LANDSCAPE DESIGN PROPOSAL

​​ As a group we are must choose a well-known individual/ public figure from ONE of the categories listed below;

3. Top Leaders
4. Influencers (You Tuber/ Instafamous/ Gamer/ Blogger etc.)

  • -  We are to study/ research the individual’s personality, lifestyle, characters, interests, behaviours/ personal traits etc.

  • -  We are then to propose a landscape design project for his/ her dream house that well reflected of their personalities and characters
